A Thanksgiving anectdote..

Just a memory sent to you from Israel:

Thanksgiving here is celebrated by Americans only.

In 1972 we had our first Thanksgiving dinner. Janet (my wife) and I went out to buy a turkey. The butcher wanted to cut it up. We wanted it whole. We argued and because we were paying we won.

Brought the turkey home and it wouldn’t fit in the oven. Had to cut it up. It turned out that Israel did not make ovens large enough to take anything larger than a 7 pound turkey. Only imported ovens were large enough.

Have a happy holiday!
