This attached  photo is of Golda Meir, the mayor of Safed and myself. It was 1978 and I  was head master of the Safed, high school. Golda was visiting the Bar Ilan extension across the street. Shimshon Ibbi, a student pestered me to allow him to invite her to address my students. I told him he would never get by her security, but go ahead. Shimshon did it.

Introducing her to the teachers and students I reminded her that in 1972 she addressed a group of us new immigrants in Jerusalem saying, Israel needs Dreamers to set the goals and Doers to implement them. I said we are privileged to have the former Prime Minister who is both a Dreamer and a Doer.

Her reply was, “I am glad someone remembered what I said. “
